The RFZ1410’s black anodized aluminum voice coil former, and multi-layer voice coils stand up to serious power. Rockford Fosgate uses a strong spruce pulp paper cone for exceptionally musical bass. It rides on a durable dual-laminated foam surround, which adds suspension strength to the woofer. The vent in the back plate of the magnet structure circulates air around the voice coil to blow away heat. The harder you play, the stiffer the breeze. The inverted dust cap makes the cone more rigid, and it helps force the air through the vent.
